Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Senior Systems/Network Administrator with proven experience in a business technology environment. Responsibilities
- Maintain appropriate certifications
- Perform data backups
- Perform disaster recovery operations
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, or other network issues
- Implements network security for hardware and software
- Maintain applications and/or virus protection measures
- Monitor network performance and make adjustments, corrections and/or changes as necessary
- Work with users via phone, email, and chat to solve problems.
- Keep detailed, accurate notes on work performed for internal auditing and client information
- Set up employee workstations (computers, printers, routers, etc)
- Install and configure software
- Train colleagues in best practices in technology and how to use software and equipment
Qualifications
- Local to Bakersfield
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required
- 3+ years previous experience as an IT Technician required
- Demonstrable knowledge of computer technology and networking
- Microsoft, CompTIA and other industry certifications preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of data privacy and security
Compensation: $34.00 - $43.00 per hour
